Crazy Quilting Chain Stitch Block

This is the Chain stitch block:
Chain Joyce

This block was quite complete, and I wanted to leave enough space for Pam to do something, so I described the goldfish with 2 hairs of metal DMC thread, straight sewed around each scale, and included French knot eyes in the center block, then included a little whimsy with a back sewn snail on the bottom.

And here is the Plume sew block:

Feather Joyce

It was a great deal of enjoyable including the beaded plume sew on the right, together with knotted center stem sew roses with a grey 10/2. The grey was utilized to connect the grey material utilized in the block.

Next is the Fly sew block:

Fly Joyce

I embroidered a fly sew anchored with chain sew rather of a straight stitch utilizing light green Types of Denim sew, then invested hours, and I literally mean hours, weaving some silk ribbon on them. Sew by stitch, loop by loop, bead by bead, up to one side of the joint and down the other I went.
And now for the Herringbone block with a twisted herringbone lattice sew in the bottom left corner:

Herringbone Joyce

I believed I was spacing the rows appropriately, however it got a little broader towards the bottom. The material was too vulnerable to take it out and renovate that area, so I’m going to state it was a purposeful effort to develop a point of view by going from a narrower to a broader lattice.

Stem stitch:

Stem Joyce

Portuguese knotted stem sew around the center bead– which I made. I’ll publish more about that later on today.

And finally the Straight stitch block:

Straight Joyce

Raised chain sew with my snow colored # 5 Perle cotton, whipped stitch on the lower left, and spread bugle and seed beads for the straight stitch.

I’m sorry I forgot to take a photo of the Anything Goes Block, however, I included a beaded daisy chain sew to that person.

Hugs …
